Fitness

Sports shooters should also think about their physical fitness. In Corona times in particular, physical training is an important prerequisite for being able to return to old performance after the forced break. Since young shooters under the age of 18 are prohibited from handling their sports equipment outside of the approved shooting range, physical training is especially suitable for this age group.

fitness exercises

I've picked out a few exercises that I think are especially suitable for sport shooters. Strengthening of the back, buttocks and leg muscles for a good and stable stance, as well as shoulder, neck and arm muscles for a steady hold of the sports equipment.
If you are looking for hands-on programs for stretching, fitness, and back and muscle training, the adh (general German university association) is the right place for you. A diverse and varied exercise program is available. A lot of home exercises can also be found on the www.skimble.com website. Here you will find a lot of exercise instructions, videos, home training units or apps - so an all-round interesting offer. The explanations are written quite simply, so that they can also be translated into the local language in the Google Chrome Internet browser (right-click anywhere on the website and then select "Translate").
Stretching coordination exercises Please always perform exercises slowly and calmly at the beginning!
Strengthening, muscle training - without sports equipment A sports mat / sleeping mat would make sense

Strengthening, muscles - with equipment Simple exercises with dumbbell weights, Thera-Band or household appliances :-). As an alternative to the dumbbells, a filled water bottle can also be used.

Small programs with several exercises workout, warm-up, fitness, stretching ...

Important NOTE

My first approach was to show you different exercises with pictures / videos and descriptions. Since intellectual property cannot be freely copied, image and video rights have to be observed (or have to be bought for "good" money), I decided to take a different route. I have come to the decision to link to these websites without copying images or text. By linking, the exercises do not become part of my website, which is permitted under EU law. The whole thing is of course only useful if you do it, just looking at it doesn't help!
In its newsletter of May 15, 2020, the German Shooting Association referred to a collection of interesting websites and offers. The numerous exercise offers can be found on this linked website. It is also pleasing that the videos of the DSB National Squad Shooters are now available to everyone on YouTube. Here you can find the DSB YouTube channel.
