The "Series xx" class system

The basic idea of the long-distance competition system is to establish a connection with sport shooters with the same interests. But marksmen are "athletes" and you always look at the competition and compare your own results with other participants. So that all sport shooters, from amateur athletes to Bundesliga shooters, from young to old, can draw a comparison with shooters in the same performance class in addition to the overall result, the "Series xx" class system was activated for the evaluation. On the basis of the competition results reported, the participants are classified.

• Series 9.x = sport shooters with a result that is above a shot average of 9 rings. • Series 8.x = sport shooters with an average over 8 rings • Series 7.x = sport shooters with an average over 7 rings • Series 6.x = sport shooters with an average over 6 rings and below

Why this division and not into age groups as with the DSB? When dividing up into age groups, I have to collect personal data, which unnecessarily complicates data storage and handling. Correctly, I would also have to request proof of age from each participant - even more data, even more effort. In the result-oriented grouping (within the overall results list), no further data is recorded. The additional effort is minimal.
